Leftover ham with mushrooms and pasta

Ingredients
Leftover cold ham
Mushrooms
One large onion
Lots of garlic
Leftover white wine (if you haven't got any left over, open a new bottle!)
Pesto sauce
Fresh parsley
Creme freche (half fat if you are on a diet as Cheryl is usually. Full fat if not.)
Black pepper
Olive oil or butter
 
Method
      1. Fry the onion and garlic in the oil or butter until the onion is transparent.
      2. Add the mushrooms and ham, cook until the mushrooms are soft.
      3. Pour in lots of wine. (Cheryl drank most of it before it got to the frying pan!)
      4. Reduce the heat.
      5. Stir in the pesto sauce, parsley, creme freche, then season and simmer gently.
      6. Boil a large saucepan of water and cook the pasta of your choice.
      7. Dish up and grate some parmesan on top.
      8. Serve with at least one other bottle of white wine.
